You Haven’t Forgotten Who You Are

There is a part of you that existed before all the roles.

Before the responsibilities. Before the caregiving. Before the over-giving. Before you became the one who holds everything together.

She is still there.

She has not left you.

She may just be quiet because life has been loud.

So many women I work with have not really lost themselves. They have simply been busy being everything for everyone else. They have said yes when they meant no. They have pushed their needs down. They have waited for “someday” to choose themselves.

And then one day, they feel it.

That ache.

That question.

Where did I go?

But I want you to know something: that question is not a failure. It is an invitation.

It is your soul calling you back.

Remembering who you are does not always happen in one big moment. It happens in small returns.

A quiet cup of coffee.
A walk outside.
A page in your journal.
A deep breath before saying yes.
A moment of joy you let yourself fully receive.
A boundary you finally honor.
A truth you finally speak.

This is how we come home.

Not by becoming someone new, but by remembering who we have always been.
