What is your dream?

This is one of my favorite quotes from A Course in Miracles:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Marianne Williamson

I stepped into all my fears of being inadequate, not knowing enough, not being relatable, not remembering what I wanted to say, fear of other’s criticism, and mostly the fear of being seen, when I took the stage to speak to 230 hairdressers on Sunday and 250 on Monday. I decided to put those fears down and focus on sharing what I’ve learned about myself. I focused on how I felt and touching hearts with my passion.

I had an amazing, almost out-of-body experience. I felt a deep connection with the audience. I spoke from my heart about what I know. Speaking to this beautiful group of people was so profound for me that I can only describe it as the Me before and the Me after. I have never been so in my element and in the flow of life. The audience felt that.

By giving myself permission to share, I assured others that they were not alone, we all go through challenging times. Liberating myself gave others permission to look at their own lives and make changes.

What if I had let all those fears hold me back?

We don’t know what experiences have the potential to be life-changing. I am not willing to take any more chances to miss incredible opportunities because I let fear hold me back. Fear might show up, probably will show up, but I can surrender and trust my Guidance.

I realized when I was speaking at the conference that I was living a dream I had buried beneath fear. I thought I had to figure everything out myself instead of trusting that things would unfold in perfect Divine time. It was my surrender that allowed the magic to appear.

What is your dream? Hold that Vision!
