Love is the answer

I shared this post on my social media last week. I love this message!

Most of us are feeling all of the unrest and darkness in the world and not sure what to do about it. I have always felt better when I could do something to make a difference. Focusing on the darkness doesn’t help. Focusing on our light and what we can do will.

I have not been inspired to start gathering food and supplies, or send money, or many other things that people are doing. I sometimes wonder why I didn’t do ‘bigger’ things to make a difference.

Truth is, we are all called to do something different, and we only need to listen to our hearts to tell us where we can make changes in the world.

The changes we make in our lives will change the world. It takes us all doing what we’re guided to do for Love to prevail.

Love is the answer.

Not hearts and flowers love, but Love that accepts others exactly where they are now. We don’t have to agree with them, just accept them without judgment.

It’s the fighting against what we disagree with that keeps us stuck in the cycle of blaming others for our unhappiness. ‘If they would change, everything would be good.’

Let’s focus on what we can do instead of what others aren’t doing or what they’re doing wrong.

I am following an idea that came to me this morning as I thought about what to write in my blog post. Each week I will include “Inspiring Acts” in our Weekly Wisdom email. It will be a random, simple act of kindness that I will be focusing on for the week and invite you to do as well. Share what you’re doing on your social media to inspire others to join us. Please email me your inspiring acts.

This weeks ‘Inspiring Act’:

MAKE EYE CONTACT AND SMILE AT PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THE PEOPLE WHO NEED IT THE MOST…THE ONES WHO MIGHT NOT SMILE BACK.

When we change the world changes.
