Choose What You Carry Forward

Releasing what you cannot control and making room for your own life

When you stop trying to carry everything, you finally have enough space to carry your own life.

Many of us have spent years carrying other people’s feelings, expectations, choices, and needs. We have carried old guilt about what we did or did not do. We have tried to make up for the past by over giving in the present. Eventually, the weight leaves very little room for our own purpose, joy, or peace.

I am no longer interested in spending my life trying to make up for things I did or did not do. I am interested in being present enough to choose, with clear intention, how I want to show up now.

That question changes everything: How do I want to show up in this moment? Not from guilt. Not from fear. Not from the need to prove my goodness. What would the highest version of me choose now, and what choice will still feel true when I look back later?

This four-part October series follows the wisdom of fall: release what has become too heavy, listen for what is true, and choose what you will carry into the next season.

Being a sacred witness applies to our own lives too. We can look at our past with honesty without putting ourselves on trial. We can acknowledge where we abandoned ourselves, offer compassion to the version of us who was surviving, and make a different choice today.

Freedom is expansion, and healing leads to freedom. Each time we release something that was never ours to control, our life gains a little more room. Each time we stop feeding an old story, apologizing for our needs, or forcing an outcome, we recover energy that can move toward what matters now.

This is the deeper invitation of fall. We get to decide what we will take with us into the next part of our journey and what we are ready to leave behind because it no longer serves us. Release does not require anger or blame. We do not have to make ourselves right and someone else wrong. We can thank a role, habit, or belief for how it once protected us and decide that we no longer need it to lead.

Where are you on your journey? What are you ready to settle into? How would you like to move forward? You do not have to know every step. You only need enough presence to choose the next one.

Take what strengthens your connection to yourself. Leave what keeps asking you to abandon yourself. There is freedom in deciding that your peace, your energy, and your life are worthy of your care.

A gentle pause:

What am I carrying that is not mine to control?

What old guilt or story am I ready to stop paying for with my present life?

What does the highest, most honest version of me choose next?

You get to decide what comes with you. You get to leave behind what no longer serves you. And you get to move forward as a sacred witness to your life, present enough to choose yourself.

The Sovereign Empath

From Absorbing to Observing: How to Feel Deeply Without Losing Yourself.
Sunday, Nov 15 12:30-2:30pm

Your sensitivity is a gift. But when you’re deeply attuned to the emotions and energy of others, it can be easy to absorb what isn’t yours, feel responsible for how others are feeling, or abandon your own needs in an effort to help, fix, or keep the peace.

This class isn’t about building walls or keeping people away. We are hardwired for love and connection. It’s about learning how to stay connected to others without disconnecting from or abandoning yourself.

Together, we’ll explore the difference between absorbing and observing, how to recognize what is yours and what isn’t, and how healthy energetic and emotional boundaries can actually create deeper, more authentic relationships.
