What 10 Years of Having a Mentor Has Taught Me

If someone asked me what has influenced my personal growth more than almost anything else over the last decade, my answer would be simple.

Having a mentor.

For more than ten years, I’ve intentionally placed myself in mentoring groups, mastermind communities, and learning spaces.

When I first joined, I thought I was signing up to learn new skills.

Instead, I learned about myself.

A mentor doesn’t simply give you answers.

A mentor asks questions that help you discover your own.

They notice the patterns you’ve become blind to.

They challenge you when you’re settling.

They encourage you when you feel like giving up.

And perhaps most importantly, they lovingly hold you accountable to becoming the person you say you want to be.

There have been countless times when I would have stayed stuck if I hadn’t had someone gently asking,

“What are you avoiding?”

“What do you really want?”

“What story are you believing?”

Through storytelling, reflection, guided meditation, journaling, heartfelt conversation, and a deeply restorative Reiki sound bath, you’ll begin reconnecting with the woman beneath the roles, the expectations, and the responsibilities.

Not to become someone new.

But to remember who you’ve always been.

You’ll leave feeling lighter, more connected to yourself, and with practical ways to continue honoring your own voice long after the day is over.

Includes lunch, Reiki/Sound experience.

Bring a journal and your favorite pen.

Growth isn’t always comfortable.

Sometimes it’s messy.

Sometimes it asks us to let go of old identities we’ve carried for years.

That’s much easier to do when someone is walking beside you.

I’ve also learned something unexpected.

The mentor is only part of the gift.

The community becomes the gift too.

I’ve met women who have become lifelong friends.

Women who have celebrated my victories as if they were their own.

Women who have held hope for me when I couldn’t see it myself.

Women who reminded me who I was during seasons when I had forgotten.

Those relationships have become some of the greatest blessings of my life.

After ten years, I can honestly say I don’t think I’ll ever stop investing in mentorship.

There is always another layer of growth.

Another level of freedom.

Another opportunity to become more fully ourselves.

And now, after receiving so much, I feel deeply called to offer that same kind of space for other women.

It’s an honor I don’t take lightly.

You don’t have to carry it all alone anymore.

If you’re longing for a small circle of women where you can be seen, supported, gently challenged, and encouraged as you reconnect with yourself, I’d love to invite you into my three-month group mentoring experience. Together, we’ll create the kind of space that changed my life—and that I now have the privilege of holding for others.

Remembering You is an intimate retreat created for the woman who has spent years carrying, giving, fixing, and holding everything together—and is ready to gently lay down what was never hers to carry.

When we change the world changes.
