We Were Never Meant to Do Life Alone

For much of my life, I believed being strong meant carrying everything by myself.

I rarely talked about what I was feeling. I didn’t want to burden anyone. I thought I should be able to figure things out on my own. I thought no one else could possibly feel the same way or understand.

So, I became very good at holding it all together.

Outwardly, I looked fine.

Inwardly, I was carrying far more than anyone knew.

What I’ve come to realize is that emotions don’t disappear simply because we don’t talk about them.

They settle into our bodies.

They become stress, tension, exhaustion, resentment, anxiety, and eventually, disconnection, from ourselves and from the people around us. Then oftentimes disease.

I think so many women live this way.

We become the caretaker.
The dependable one.
The responsible one.
The one everyone counts on.

But who are we leaning on?

Who knows what’s really happening inside of us?

Healing began for me when I finally found safe spaces where I could simply tell the truth.

Not because someone fixed me.

Not because someone had all the answers.

But because someone listened.

Someone witnessed me.

Someone reminded me that I wasn’t alone.

There is something profoundly healing about being seen.

Not for the version of yourself that has it all together, but for the real you.

The one who gets tired.

The one who doubts herself.

The one who sometimes doesn’t know what to do next.

We were never meant to carry life alone.

We heal in connection.

We grow in community.

We become braver when someone gently reminds us that we already have what we need inside of us.

That has certainly been true for me.

And it’s one of the reasons I’m opening a small group mentoring space this fall.

Because every woman deserves a place where she doesn’t have to carry everything by herself.

You don’t have to carry it all alone anymore.

If you’re longing for a small circle of women where you can be seen, supported, gently challenged, and encouraged as you reconnect with yourself, I’d love to invite you into my three-month group mentoring experience. Together, we’ll create the kind of space that changed my life—and that I now have the privilege of holding for others.

When we change the world changes.
