The mind, body, Spirit, emotion connection
Our mind, body, Spirit and emotions make up who we are.
Our body is the vehicle for our Spirit while we are on earth. Our mind helps direct our body. That’s why it’s so important to keep our mind in a vibration that feels good to us. Our Spirit communicates to us through emotions that we feel in our body.
Pain seems to get our attention, and our body shows us where we need to look for clues in our next growth opportunity.
In my life, I’m learning to listen to the whispers, my intuition.
I’ve learned the hard way that when I didn’t listen to that quiet voice it got louder. When I kept ignoring that, I would get a tap on the shoulder, meaning that things would start happening, so I knew what I was doing wasn’t in alignment with me. If I kept on, I would get knocked to my knees, meaning more warnings that what I wanted wasn’t best for me. Sometimes I got it at this point, oh, but there were times when I got hit with the 2×4 across the head to really knock me down. Meaning that something so dramatic happened that I could no longer ignore it or pretend that it would be okay if I continued. I’m sure I mentioned before that I can be a bit stubborn.
Each of these areas of our life needs attention to stay in balance.
Think of them as legs on a table. If you’re having a challenge physically, that leg of the table is wobbly, and you will put more of your attention on your physical health. Same goes for you feeling like you’ve lost your connection with Spirit, or if you’re feeling anxious, or your emotions are erupting out on others, (speaking from experience).
I have been more keenly aware of my mind, body, Spirit, emotion connection as I’ve been training to walk The Camino De Santiago in just two weeks.
I’m saying affirmations to keep my mind strong.
I’m doing lots of walking and gym time for my body.
I’m doing meditations and setting my intentions for my Spirit.
I’m journaling on my feelings of fear and anxiousness to release emotions.
Think of it this way: if you have a physical illness, you might have thoughts like, this shouldn’t have happened to me. Those thoughts can bring up emotions in you of frustration or anger. And when we’re in that space, we might want to blame God, Spirit, whatever you call your Higher Power.
I invite you to look at the mind, body, Spirit, and emotional aspects of the things that show up in your life and take care of each part.
