Taking inventory of the relationships in our lives

I love to share things that might inspire others to look at aspects of their lives in a different light.

We all deserve to have people in our lives who love us and appreciate having us in their lives.

One of our greatest and most basic needs is to feel love and connection in our lives.

Sometimes we keep people in our lives that don’t appreciate us. We keep them there because they’ve always been there, or they’re family, or they did something for us once. Any people like that in your life?

Are there people that you keep pouring into who aren’t interested in reciprocating?

Relationships are not meant to be one-sided. They require giving and receiving from both people.

It’s not our job to make people love or appreciate us. And because someone isn’t willing or able to give us the love we want from them, doesn’t mean we aren’t worthy of love and belonging.

It doesn’t mean that people are unkind and uncaring. Most people are caught up in their own lives and doing the best they can.

The more love we have for ourselves and the more connected we are to ourselves the more that love and connection will show up in our lives. As we value ourselves, others naturally value us.

As we value ourselves more, we use our energy to create the life we desire and deserve by taking responsibility for how we show up and having healthy boundaries.

Take an inventory of your close relationships to see where you want to make some changes in the energy you put into them. Do this from a place of taking care of yourself instead of blaming others. Give others the grace of knowing they’re doing the best they can.

When we change the world changes.
