Intuition – the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning. It’s that feeling you get in your body, often in your gut when you just know something, but you don’t know how you know, and it sometimes doesn’t make sense at the time.
Our intuition is our connection with our Higher Self. We have guidance in our life. I often say that we weren’t just dropped here on earth without help to navigate through our lives. This Guidance sees from a higher perspective, knows things that we don’t know, and has our best interests in mind.
We were all born with intuition. It not only helps us sense danger, but it can also guide us to living the life we desire.
Our intuition is there to guide us in the smallest moments and the moments that are life changing.
Intuition can come in soft whispers, and it can come in loud warnings. These can come in feelings in the body.
When we’re young, we have a keen sense of feeling energy. I remember when I was young, walking into a room and I could feel that something was off. I would ask what was going on and the adults would tell me that nothing was going on. I know they were protecting me from things I didn’t need to know. However, what started to happen is that I started to doubt my intuition. I stopped trusting the nudges I was getting and started ignoring what I sensed.
I can look back and remember times when I knew not to do something and did it anyway. I wanted what I wanted when I wanted. Had I trusted my intuition, I believe that I could have learned with grace and ease and not had to struggle through things that I chose to.
Pay attention to the nudges, whispers, and knowings you experience. Get curious about them. They might come for something as simple as a getting a good parking spot or as big as whether to move for a job.
How do you know if it’s intuition or your head making it up? We’ll talk about discernment next week.
When we change the world changes.
