Celebrating YOU!
I’ve been feeling all the feels of working through the rejection wound the past few weeks. I’ve gained a lot of insights into myself and my life. I am grateful to have moved through this layer. I know that more layers will surface as I am ready to unravel more opportunities for growth and knowing myself better.
So, let’s celebrate! How much time do you take to celebrate YOU?
It is my nature to move from one thing to the next without taking time to celebrate and sit in the gratitude for the gifts. I’ve missed a lot of opportunities to BE and enjoy the part of growth that is just as important as the growth itself.
How does it feel to say, “I’m celebrating myself?” Do you feel any resistance?
I’m not talking about being boastful or arrogant. I’m talking about being humble and grateful for insights and changes in our lives. For being grateful for feeling like a weight has been lifted.
There will always be more to learn about ourselves. That’s what life here is all about. The more we learn about ourselves, the less we judge others for their thoughts, words, and actions. The more we learn about ourselves, the less we look outside ourselves for answers and validation. That’s a great topic for next week’s post, stay tuned!
Celebrating ourselves like we would celebrate other people in our lives, shows us that we matter. We trust ourselves and become our own BFF. We give ourselves what we need instead of expecting others to fill us.
The only thing we are in control of is ourselves; our thoughts, words, actions, and how we show up in the world. Doesn’t it make sense that when we treat ourselves like we treat other people that we love; give ourselves grace when we fall, and celebrate ourselves, that we learn to love ourselves more?
Self-love is the key. It’s tricky and messy sometimes AND it’s the greatest gift we can give ourselves and others in our lives. Self-love is vital to living our best lives.
Take some time this week to do something for yourself. It can be as simple as closing your eyes, smiling, and saying, “Thank you, I appreciate you.”
Put your focus on celebrating and you’ll see more things to celebrate.
When we change the world changes.
