A Sacred Weekend of Coming Home to Yourself

There are moments in life that change you—not because of what happens to you, but because of what awakens within you. A few weeks ago, I had the honor of hosting a healing retreat that was nothing short of life changing. Not just for the participants, but for me as well. What unfolded over the course of that sacred weekend was a deep remembering… a coming home to ourselves.

From the moment our group gathered, there was a sense of readiness in the air. Each person came with a story, with burdens they’d been carrying—some for years, even decades. But beneath the pain was openness, a quiet hope for something new. What transpired was a journey of self-discovery, release, and connection.
The Power of Being Seen, Heard, and Valued
There’s nothing like being in a safe space where you feel completely seen, heard, and valued. That’s what we created together. Friends came together to support one another with tenderness and strength. They held space for each other’s stories, tears, and triumphs. The vulnerability, the courage, the love… it was breathtaking.
Healing retreats are sacred invitations to lay down what you’ve been carrying—grief, guilt, shame, fear—and pick up something lighter, something truer. We dove deep into inner child work through meditation, journaling, and sharing. We released old guilt and created space for forgiveness—both for others and ourselves. Peace came not in one grand moment, but in a series of quiet realizations and gentle releases.
Energy Healing and Spiritual Connection
Each participant received a Reiki session during the retreat. For many, it was their very first experience with energy healing—and the response was profound. A sense of calm, clarity, and groundedness settled in. During the sessions, I often receive intuitive guidance, along with messages from their loved ones in spirit or their guides and angels. These messages are always loving and affirming. I truly believe our loved ones in spirit are always with us, whispering reminders that we are not alone. We just have to be present enough to receive.

Tools for the Journey Ahead
We didn’t just work through the hard things. We also gathered practical tools for continuing the journey. We practiced journaling, breathing techniques, grounding, meditation, and visualization—simple yet powerful ways to move energy and return to center. Group discussions sparked insights, and everyone had one-on-one time with me to explore what was surfacing for them individually.
We also made time to move our bodies and connect with nature. After lunch at a local restaurant, we took a long walk together. Movement is a powerful way to move energy, and our steps became a metaphor for the forward motion we were creating in our lives.
At the close of our weekend, we released what we didn’t want to carry forward, and made heartfelt intentions for what we desired to call in. It was emotional, healing, and empowering.
Here’s What Attendees Had to Say:
“We had such an inspirational weekend with Judy. This was my second time attending a workshop with her, and I learned something different each time. I enjoyed that Judy is so smart and focused on each of our individual opportunities we want to work on. The Reiki session was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I feel as if I have tools that I’ve been looking for, but I didn’t know how to use them until this weekend. This was so wonderful and needed more than our group ever knew. Thank you, Judy. Not only do we work on difficult things, we learn the tools that help keep us on track.” — Amy
“Judy was a phenomenal speaker and presenter because she spoke from her heart, not a script. She really listened and repeated what we said to be sure we saw the clarity ourselves in what we needed or what we were looking for. The group at this retreat was a great fit and we all found safety in each other as well as Judy’s sessions. I would wholeheartedly recommend getting to know her through her blog, her book, or if you’re lucky enough, in person. I found a sense of safety, peace, and a place to start my first steps to a life that will fulfill me and strengthen me.”
One of the most moving moments of the weekend was watching Ellen, a woman in her 70s who has experienced significant loss this past year, open her heart and share her truth. We’ve been trained to hold everything inside—but her bravery in speaking her pain allowed others to do the same. Her commitment not just to live, but to live a life that fulfills and strengthens her, was an inspiration to us all.

Coming Home to Yourself
I am still in awe of the transformation I witnessed. It’s an honor to hold space for others as they return to themselves, remember their worth, and reclaim their light. The answers we’re longing for are never outside of us. They live within. Sometimes, we just need someone to remind us how to listen.
This retreat reminded me why I do this work. There is such power in coming together. There is such healing in being seen. And there is such beauty in watching someone remember who they truly are.
If your soul is nudging you toward something deeper—toward healing, reconnection, or a return to your truest self—I invite you to join me on a future retreat. Your sacred homecoming is waiting.
