A prayer from The Four Agreements

Thank you, Creator of the Universe, for the gift of life you have given me.

Thank you for giving me everything that I have ever truly needed.

Thank you for the opportunity to experience this beautiful body and wonderful mind.

Thank you for living inside me with all your love, with your pure and boundless spirit, with your warm and radiant light.

Thank you for using my words, for using my eyes, for using my heart to share your love wherever I go.

I love you just the way you are, and because I am your creation, I love myself just the way I am.

Help me to keep the love and the peace in my heart and to make that love a new way of life, that I may live in love the rest of my life. Amen

This is one of my favorite prayers from “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The Four Agreements is such a profound book with wisdom for the ages.

Be impeccable with your word

Don’t take anything personally

Don’t make assumptions

Always do your best

Don’t take anything personally has been a transformative agreement for me.

It frees us from so much unnecessary suffering. It’s empowering to realize that others’ words and actions are more about them, how they feel about themselves, and what they have inside than they are about us. It brings about acceptance.

Living in acceptance is such a powerful place to be – it creates space for peace and understanding.

Nothing is worth my Heaven on Earth is what I remind myself when I feel like I’m falling out of alignment.

Protecting our peace while offering grace and love to others as we gather over the holidays will be a testament to our growth and inner strength.

It certainly isn’t easy. But, if you’re here with me, you probably didn’t sign up for easy…

Take some time to go within this week.

Bring that peace and light with you and share it with others.

Remember, acceptance doesn’t mean we agree with someone, it means that we know we are only in control of ourselves, our thoughts, words, and actions.

Acceptance means trusting the process of the Universe.

Acceptance means no judgement.

We will always cause our own suffering when we think things should be different than they are.

Love and Blessings

When we change the world changes.
