Ready or not, 2022 is here!

I can’t believe how fast the past year went by. People have always told me that the older you get, the faster the time goes. I am witnessing that in my life for sure.

I’m learning to slow down and immerse myself in the happenings of my life. From the smallest and seemingly most insignificant moments, which by the way many times become important, to the once-in-a-lifetime moments, and everything in between, I strive to be present and focus.

What do you want more of in your life in 2022?

“What you seek is seeking you.”

Rumi

I think that means that if you have a desire for something that it is waiting for you to clear your resistance to having it and be open to receiving it. Now, you might say that’s not true because there are things you really want and don’t have.

Could it be that we are subconsciously blocking what we want? I think we have to take a closer look at our intention for our desire and whether we feel worthy of allowing it to happen.

Let’s say you desire more money in your life. How does it feel when you say that? Check in with your body. Do you feel it in your gut? Does your chest tighten, jaws clench, start to sweat?

What is your intention for having more money?

There are no judgments here. I believe we can all choose what we want. Just because we have something doesn’t mean we are greedy or keeping others from having it.

In the past, the thoughts of wanting money didn’t feel good to me; feelings of fear came up. I took some time to uncover why I felt like that. I found that feelings of undeserving were at the root of that. I also discovered that at the core was my true intention, which wasn’t really wanting money, it was more about the freedom that having a larger income brought. The freedom to travel, buy gifts, donate money, that felt good.

I believe when we dig deep and get to the core of our resistance, we can clear the path to our desires.

When we change the world changes.
